The Best Kept Secret – Congrats Yani Tseng

March 15, 2010

Shhh, there was a huge ladies’ tournament this weekend. Don’t tell a soul.  The trouble that ESPN and the Golf Channel go to ignoring ladies golf is mind boggling. There is no mention of Yani’s victory anywhere on the Golf Channel front page, it is the GOLF channel,  and they don’t even care.

The thing is my fellow gentlemen golfers, we can learn a lot more watching the ladies than we ever can watching Camillo hit a 200 yard 8 iron.

that’s because women don’t have the raw power to just crush the ball, so we have to the right form.

Its true, I watch the men for entertainment purposes only, I watch the women to learn.

Thanks for the link to the Babe Zaharias info. I did not know she won so many medals in the 1932 Olympics!

This is one area that I hope Michael Whan addresses very early on his tenure as commissioner. I’m going to meet with him in La Costa next weekend and I’m hoping to exchange some good ideas with him. We have oy exchanged voicemails, but he seems to be very passionate about helping the LPGA tour succeed.
